We took some time to get to know Heather a bit better. She is engaging and smart, fun and clever.  There is so much more to her, and you would be wise to check her out on our website:

What do you do with your feet after a day of high heels?
Because I am lucky enough to work with some clients so consistently I don’t take gigs that require high heels. I mostly do Lead generation or presenter/narrator/MC gigs. My feet are usually okay and not too painful.

Plus, I take an Epsom salt bath every night. Some people think that is crazy to do             when traveling, but I put so much salt in the hotel tubs that I feel pretty safe.

What is your favorite ice cream?
LOL, You’d think that would be easy. One is a triple chocolate cashew milk. I don’t do dairy so the other one would be Laloo’s goat’s milk ice cream Vanilla Snowflake. I just love Vanilla.

Where are you going on vacation this year?
I am actually taking a few little vacations. I have a show in Baltimore in Sept., and my mother loves DC so I am bringing her along to be a tourist. I am also going with hubby to Laguna Beach for a wedding. I am very excited about both of these trips.

What is your favorite joke?
I’m horrible at remembering jokes, so the shortest one that I remember that I love is:

What do you call a guy that places last in his class in Medical School?

Only the truth is funny!

Funny thing that happened to you on the trade show floor?
I’ve wracked my brain, but I can’t come up with any good ones! The closest I can come is the times that attendees walk past other temp booth staffers and come specifically to me for answers to their questions–I seem to come across as not only a genuine company employee, but as a knowledgeable one. (To be fair, I do my homework.)

What is your favorite thing about working a trade show?
There’s so much to love about it–the flexibility, availability of work, the opportunity to blow minds with my quick pick-up of company and/or product information, the work that doesn’t follow me home, etc. It’s seriously fantastic!

What would you do if you weren’t doing this?
Honestly, I’d probably be working in entertainment or in marketing, most likely. Those are my two loves, and I still work in both alongside trade shows. I’ve taken a large portion of the coursework toward CTSM certification (Certified Trade Show Marketer), and I’ve browsed through Trade Show Manager positions, but I’m just not ready to settle into a steady 9 to 5. Maybe someday…

Heather, I think you could do whatever you set your mind to.  We are proud to have you as a member of Thanks for taking your time to speak with me and share a little bit more about you.
